Frango na Púcara

  • 1 chicken (around 1 kg)
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 0.5 dl white wine
  • 1 dl Port wine
  • 1 glass old brandy
  • 80g butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 12 small onions
  • 150g ha



Dress and clean the chicken very well, washing it and drying it with kitchen towel. Next, season with white wine, salt and pepper, place it in a clay pot with all the ingredients listed and put it uncovered into a very hot oven.
Once browned on one side, turn it over and, when browned on both sides, cover the clay pot and let it finish cooking.
Serve as is, opening the pot in the presence of all; the chicken will give off a pleasant aroma
